The Digital Awards 2016, hosted by KCOM and the Hull Daily Mail, were a huge success for everyone involved this year, however, it was especially successful here at C4DI since three of our members won awards. Software developers Arc Studios won the award for Best Digital Startup this year after being nominated for the award two years in a row.
Arc studios, formed in 2014, has rapidly evolved from 4 students in a bedroom to a growing company with 8 employees located here at C4DI. Developing software for local to international businesses, from database systems to cutting edge software, has helped Arc become a local leader in the field of software development, clearly demonstrated by their win at this year’s awards. Over the 2 years, as well as providing clients with excellent software solutions, they have also maintained foresight by taking on several interns and year-in-industry students from the University of Hull. By mentoring these budding developers, Arc Studios have helped, and will continue to help develop the talents and skills of the next generation of entrepreneurs and software developers.
Things are only getting bigger and better with the team at Arc too, planning to expand over the next year or so and hopefully have a team of 10-12 members by June to help work on projects for some big clients they have signed up.
