We are currently navigating through an unprecedented turbulent time and I want all members to know that we are ready to help. There will be many things playing on your mind at the moment and it’s important that you get the right level of support. As somebody who has worked in the bank network for 10yrs I am eager to support in the following areas, both from a personal and business perspective. I must stress that this is available to all, including non-Barclays customers:
(i) Money mentoring - this is an opportunity to get somebody to look at your finances and see where you could save money and manage it better. Regardless of the current state of affair I’d recommend this to anyone as it’s an opportunity to start thinking differently and make decisions that will benefit you in in the long-term, not just the short.
(ii) Digital banking - this will be key to getting things done whilst at home. I know that we are part of a digital community but that doesn’t necessarily mean everyone is digital savvy when it comes to banking. Whilst I won’t be familiar with all platforms the mechanics will be virtually the same.
(iii) Transactional banking help those of you are making transactions in branch. Ideally you should avoid going into the branch, however, if you feel this is impossible then I could review how you are currently doing things and possibly but a different operating rhythm into your process to minimise these visits.
(iv) Someone to talk to - this needs to be more than just banking. Let me be your soundboard. There might be things outside your remit that are concerning you too, I may not know all the answers but you’ll have somebody who cares and willing to help in any way I can.
I am happy to open this up to family members too, so don’t limit this to yourselves. Must stress, I cannot give any ‘advice’ but I know that my suggestions will be sound and that it will be beneficial should you take them on-board.
