THIS IS A PRESS RELEASE FROM TECH EXPO HUMBER
Tech Expo Humber is set to return for a second year with registrations now live. The event will take place virtually on Wednesday 11th November and be the flagship event for Tech Week Humber 2020.
“We believe Tech Expo Humber is an integral part of Tech Week as it allows us to not only showcase what the region has to offer but also invite global tech giants to be part of it”
Antonio Tombanane - Founder Tech Week Humber
The highly successful inaugural event last year saw both enterprise and education come together to highlight the possibilities tech has for the future of this region. Over 2,000 people attended and the event managed to reach a staggering 1.5 million via PR and social.
Tech Week Humber announced that the event would be going virtual last month as a result of the coronavirus pandemic but promised to still deliver talks from some of the world’s biggest brands. Having already secured speakers from Google, Amazon, Airbus and IBM it is clear that this year's event will be one not to miss.
The theme for this year’s event is ‘A Connected Humber’ with the hope to highlight the region’s infrastructure, connect education and enterprise and showcase the region to the rest of the world. An important part of the day will be allowing local tech companies to share their products and stories with a global audience.
“Although we love working with global tech giants we think it’s important that the event still showcases the region as a tech hub in its own right. This year will have a diverse line-up that allows everyone from the region’s biggest tech leaders to start-ups to share their story”
Jo Fleming - Entrepreneur
Partners for this year’s event include Hull City Council, KCOM, Nordstar, DMCC, C4Di, the Department of International Trade, Reach PLC, Tech Nation, University of Hull, Marketing Humber, Wykeland, Click Digital and Wilberforce College with more announcements promised in the coming weeks.
