You've WFH now wf[C4DI]

The pandemic has thrown a lot our way and it’s been a huge change for everyone, including our members and how/where they work.

As restrictions are eased, we want to share with you some ways in which we have been working to help you get back to normality. The first of these, we’re calling wf[C4DI] (work from C4DI).

Now, we don’t expect to see a 100% return to the office, but we know working from home full time doesn’t work for everyone and we’ve been listening to our members and potential new partners to provide new products and services to help you adapt during this transition period.

For example, C4DI is currently putting the finishing touches on a brand new video facility in Hull, which can be used for broadcasting live events, hosting a team workshop or an away day. And, in our Northallerton hub, we have dedicated a complete wing to an exciting new service - more info coming soon!

Our buildings have remained open throughout the pandemic, initially supporting businesses who were providing critical Covid-19 services and products, but as things developed, creating an environment for those unable to work from home.

This has enabled us to test and trial different services for our members - from global corporates looking to support their workforce, to early-stage businesses who don’t have HR capabilities to support teams at home.

“What’s been clear is that much of what we’ve been offering since we first opened our Beta Building almost eight years ago, is now more relevant than ever,” says Tina Swann, Events and Facilities Manager at C4DI.

“We now have the opportunity to build on that  with a unique hybrid approach to working.”

The pandemic has highlighted some clear needs from our members that C4DI is working to support. Do any of these sound familiar?

“Our team needs a large space perhaps once a week or fortnight for workshops and collaboration sessions, but we don’t need it full time…”

“We’re not just after space, we could do with additional support and development.”

“We need flexible space so our team can work from home some days, work together in an office other days and use a coworking area occasionally.”

“We need to get better at broadcasting our events or running workshops with our remote teams.”

“We need to make sure the environment for our team is working in is safe and secure.”

“We’d like to hire more remote talent, but can you look after them in your space as a wrap-around service?”

“Some of our technical people could do with being around peers working in a similar industry.”

We think that the ability to accelerate your business with more talent becomes even more powerful when wrapped up with wf[C4DI].

You can wf[C4DI] in two ways:

  1. As an organisation looking to develop your hybrid working programme to support your existing team - we can organise a tour and build a package to suit you.

  2. As an organisation looking to hire more talent, perhaps within a wider geography than your offices.

This region is an exceptional place to base your tech talent - we’ve the highest revenue per employee north of London, in the best connected City, with the best programmes linking traditional businesses and tech companies. For that reason we recognise that wf[C4DI] will enable organisations to expand their teams in different ways and open up opportunities for businesses not currently based in the region to house their talent here.

Therefore, we’re delighted to announce a strategic partnership with the region’s fastest growing recruiter, Principal IT, who we are working exclusively with us on wf[C4DI].

Glen Halliwell, Managing Director of Principal IT said :

“…I am really excited about this strategic partnership with [C4DI]. We recognise the importance of innovation, not just when it comes to technology but also the way we do things post COVID. We have adopted the wf[C4DI] model and have already seen results through collaboration with other members, showcasing our cutting edge AI tools to companies that require our services.

In a recent poll of both companies and talent, over 57% of people believed the Hybrid working model will be the way forwards for the post COVID workforce. Companies see the need for more than just office space and identify the value in joining a community. That is what WF[C4DI] is offering!”
