Cloud Design Box is transforming the way that schools, colleges and academies work by providing engaging intranet systems and training with SharePoint and Office 365.
With over a decade of experience, the SharePoint experts have now designed three products especially for schools that allow teachers and their pupils to connect seamlessly whilst in and outside of the classroom.
Today, over 160,000 people use Cloud Design Box solutions across the UK.
"We could see that schools were not making the most of Microsoft's free education offering. This was largely down to the fact it was complicated to use and navigate," Tony Phillips, Director of Cloud Design Box, tells us.
The Cloud Design Box Foundation, Silver and Gold products are specially crafted to allow teachers and students easy access to resources and tools from anywhere, on any device.
With more and more of us relying on phones and mobile devices rather than desktop computers to obtain information, entertainment and digital content, it makes sense for educational resources to be accessed in this way too.
"Our vision is to enhance the classroom with technology that delivers real benefits to schools. We work with our customers to develop solid, long-term relationships and guide them through the fast-paced and ever-changing world of technology," Tony explains.
The Class Dashboard, which allows classes to access everything from notebooks and homework assignments, to individual student work folders, places young people firmly at the centre of their own learning.
Cloud Design Box was featured on the Microsoft UK Schools blog earlier this year for their work with Guilsborough Academy in Northampton. The school is now taking advantage of cloud technology and SharePoint Online to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
"My interest in improving technology in the education sector was born out of the frustration I experienced when working in a school. I noticed that the tech was unnecessarily complicated and unappealing," he reveals.
"This is why we try to make our products as attractive and engaging as possible, so both the teachers and children will want to use them."
The next step for the ever-expanding Cloud Design Box team is to provide the service overseas:
"We've had a bit of interest from the Middle East and China and are hoping to scale up our products to accommodate our customers' requirements," Tony adds.
