C4DI members Cloud2 are finalists in this year’s HSJ awards, a ceremony that recognises the finest achievements in the NHS and showcases work which, directly or indirectly, has saved and enhanced thousands of lives. Cloud2 are specialists in providing intranets and business intelligence for companies within the healthcare market such as the NHS, however their expertise has also been invaluable for clients from different sectors such as Tata Steel. With their business intelligence system Meson-BI, they provide a set of techniques and tools for the acquisition and transformation of raw data into meaningful and useful information for successful business analysis purposes.
However it is Cloud2’s web-based software system, Kinesis, that has landed them the nomination and has reduced the time to treatment for thousands of patients while saving primary care millions of pounds in avoided referral costs by reducing unnecessary referrals to hospitals. By allowing GPs to contact hospital specialists when their course of clinical action is unclear, using Kinesis, they can access expert advice rapidly, allowing more patients to be quickly and successfully treated in the community by their GPs. GPs and consultants also benefit from an improved dialogue and cross-sector patient pathways are enhanced.
The award is due to be announced in November so wish them luck! In the meantime, you can check out their website here: https://www.cloud2.co.uk/
