Hey Darren, tell us a little bit about yourself…
I run a health tech startup called Upstream Health. We're looking to use new technologies to support our clinicians to deliver preventative care and helping to keep patients well and out of hospital.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I'm part of the C4DI running group and just about to start training for our July Snowdon run. It's going to be fun. Also, I do squash and then pub quiz every Thursday. Normally I win the squash... but, always lose the quiz!
What is an interesting fact about yourself that not many people would know?
I'm a fully qualified diver and regularly head up to Scotland to get cold and wet in my dry suit. Well I was regular until I decide to launch a startup :o)
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Time travel has to be the best super power. I'm not really bothered about seeing dinosaurs; I'd just pause time and do what you want. I could pause time and go for a run, watch a film, build some cool stuff, and still make it to school pick up in time!
Why did you join C4DI?
We needed a base for Upstream Health and somewhere to meet like-minded people. The talent in this space is unbelievable and has opened up lots of new ideas and opportunities.
