C4DI Tour of Poland : Reflection Part Two

Director of International Business Development, Bob Spence talks to Linsey Brown, Projects & Communications Manager about the third day in Poland for C4DI International.

24th November
Katowice

After arriving at Katowice station, 23:50 hr the previous day, Dave, John, and Bob (AKA Team C4DI International) met up bright and breezy for breakfast at The Park Inn Katowice. This 07:30 hr rendezvous included our team deliberation of the previous day in Lublin which delivered some terrific outcomes. Then preparation for another ‘opportunity packed’ day this time delivered courtesy of the Katowice based KTW.Legal.

KTW.Legal

We arrive at the KTW.Legal practice for 09:00 hr. It was our pleasure to meet up with Managing Partners: Przemysław Magaczewski, Bartłomiej Medaj and Agnieszka Sobota for coffee and introductions in the KTW.Legal board room. This was followed by a welcome conversation to talk about the Polish music scene and be introduced to the exceptional Piotr Schmidt Jazz quartet. Then the introduction of the Les Paul guitar of Bartłomiej! Some further hellos to busy lawyers Paweł Skuza and Tomasz Sobański then onto the schedule.

During an excellent day KTW.Legal introduced C4DI International to:

  • Three standout Katowice software businesses.

  • A proven Gliwice accelerator with coworking space and software enterprise.

  • An elite patented sound system that delivered incredible audio enhancement.

  • Two award winning Katowice based healthcare software applications.

  • A ground-breaking fashion innovation. (Which C4DI has already introduced to fashion specialist Lucy Blackley).

  • The Fabryka Porcelany co-working space, restaurant and er…brewery!

  • The Rawa.Ink co-working space.

A big UK endorsement to the KTW.Legal team for making these exceptional introductions that were well matched to the objectives of the C4DI International project. We look forward to being able to reciprocate the hospitality in our City Kingston-Upon-Hull for the time and consideration we received in Katowice. So ‘thank you’ for organising the day, providing hospitality, and driving us to Fabryka Porcelany, Rawa.Ink and the Mercure Hotel Katowice.

The evening was spent browsing the Katowice ‘Christmas Fair’ next to the train station with the chance to sample more outstanding local cuisine.

Tomorrow? A 06:30 hr train journey to Warsaw!
