According to the World Health Organization[i], Coronaviruses (CoV) are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV)

C4DI remains open and is operating as normal, but with sensible precautions as outlined below:
Accessing the Building
The C4DI building is now running a skeleton service over the next three weeks or until advice changes. You will still be able to access if you need using your fob, but please take note of the latest government advice. We will have people onsite from time to time to keep the place clean and secure and to deal with any post.

C4DI Support For You
There are some tough times ahead and we are here to support you. Please, please speak to us, ask for help and also offer your help to others. We are currently working with a team trying to see how we can unlock some of the rate relief grants that are available and we expect to get clarification on that this week. If we are successful, then we can plough that back into supporting the C4DI Community on issues related to CV, whether that’s investing in specific things to help the community, or supporting individuals financially with membership or other needs. We will give you an update on this later this week.
C4DI Community
We are steadily moving events, workshops and mentoring online, so please do get stuck into those. If you have a particular skill or product you can offer the community please let us know. We are still getting requests in for project work and new business opportunities are being created that are going to need a whole load of digital and creative skills.
Don’t Panic!
Almost nothing is certain at the moment, other than it’s a safe bet that tech and creative people are going to be at the heart of whatever the business world looks like in a few months/weeks time. Waiting to see what that world looks like will mean you’ll be left behind. We want to help all of you keep moving over the next few weeks and developing new products and services that are ready for a new way of living and doing business.
