Keeping our community and team safe is paramount. Whilst doing that, we’re going to have to get used to a different way of working over the foreseeable future. Our focus remains on being here to help tech companies grow and traditional businesses innovate. Passing constraints on our physical infrastructure, challenges around communicating face to face, and many more things will mean we need to adapt the way we work to meet this “new normal”.

From a physical point of view, the C4DI builds will remain open and match any government advice. Please see this page for our latest information. As we adapt to a different way of working there are three things we’ll be focussing on. 

Our Focus

Community

The number one thing we will be trying to encourage is more communication than ever before. Got some good news, some tips on working or innovative ideas, then let us know and we can share with the community.

We’re going to start moving our events online. If you have an idea for an event, if you’ve run events in the past or you’d like to start one - now’s the time. We have a whole bunch of services and tools, all paid for that you can tap into and access.

Our advice, support and guidance from partners will also be moving on line.

We also want to use the power of the tech community and its ability to respond to change to continue to innovate and meet the challenges of our larger non-tech partners. We’ll be updating you on how you can get involved in that over the next week.

Innovation

More than ever, our region and companies need to innvote. Whether that’s looking at new ways of communicating, using tech to unlock business streams, or building new products to service new needs.

We have a community of people hungry to solve your challenges.

We will be arranging regular calls and catchups with our friends in traditional sectors, but if you have some challenges you’d like us to take a look at then please get in touch.

We’ve also got an exciting programme of online events lined up from our network of experts, all keen to help with anything from working at home to funding new innovative projects.

Tech Businesses

We are here to support you. Whatever you need, please let us know. We’re putting in place more ways of keeping up to date with you, understanding your needs, understanding your capacity, and understanding your ability to take on more work.

All of our funding partners are putting in place additional ways of communicating and ensuring deal flow, and we have a community of traditional businesses hungry (more than ever!) to unlock bits of their business using tech.

We are also in close dialogue with DCMS and Central government, so the more we understand of your situation, the better placed we are to advocate on your behalf.
